Cassius Dio: Between History and Politics PhD Seminar - 15-16/01/2018, Odense (Denmark)
The Cassius Dio Network invites doctoral students to a two-day seminar on Cassius Dio 15-16 of January at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. The seminar will focus on a historiographical approach with introductory papers on Dio’s contemporary world (Andrew G. Scott, Villanova University), Dio as an historical eyewitness (Jesper M. Madsen, University of Southern Denmark), speeches in Dio (Christopher Burden-Strevens, Kent University) and civil war in Dio (Carsten H. Lange, Aalborg University).

ORGANIZADOR/ORGANIZER/ORGANIZZATORE: The Cassius Dio Network, a joint venture between the University of Southern Denmark, Aarhus University and Aalborg University, in cooperation with University of Alberta, MacEwan University and Georgetown University.
There is no fee to participate. The network will provide catering in the course if the seminar. Travel cost and accommodation are the responsibility of the seminar participants.
