P.J. Rhodes was Professor of Ancient History (1983-2005) in Durham and since then has been Honorary and Emeritus Professor. He is the author of a monumental work, which has been and will continue to be a major reference to scholars around the world. His principal area of scholarly production is ancient Greek history, especially politics (both political institutions and political activity), and the sources for ancient history (literary and epigraphic). We invite junior and established scholars to join this celebration, by submitting a proposal on a topic that interrelates in any way with P.J. Rhodes’s work
The «Conference in honour of Peter J. Rhodes on the occasion of his 80th birthday» accepts abstract proposals relating to the following sessions:
1 - Greek law 2 - Greek politics 3 - Greek history 4 - Greek epigraphy 5 - Athenian democracy and theatre
Submission of Abstracts
Abstracts must not exceed the maximum limit of 300 words. Abstracts are to be submitted via the address email@example.com.
Abstracts must include the following:
· Full name · Paper title indicating the respective session · Affiliation · Contact details (including email) · NIF number/ tax ID number Full papers will be subjected to peer review and published. The conference language will be English.
